El puerto fluvial de Sevilla, situado en el suroeste de España, se convirtió desde fines del siglo XV, con la apertura de la ruta comercial marítima atlántica hacia América, en la cabecera del comercio de ultramar. Una actividad mercantil que afectaba a todo el hinterland del río Guadalquivir, desde la propia capital sevillana, hasta la población de Sanlúcar de Ba-rrameda en la desembocadura. En este trabajo analizaremos la importancia y variedad del Patrimonio Cultural Marítimo que, entre los siglos XV y XIX, se fue conformando en am-bas orillas de la desembocadura asociados a la navegación y el comercio americano. Una intensa actividad comercial en la que Sanlúcar de Barrameda se configura como puerto de abastecimiento para las Flotas españolas de salida y para las naves que realizaban el torna-viaje, antes de remontar el río con destino a Sevilla. ABSTRACT: The fluvial port of Seville, located in the southwest of Spain, became, from the fifteenth century, with the opening of the Atlantic maritime trade route to America, into the head of overseas trade. Mercantile activity that affected the entire interior of the Guadalquivir Riv-er, from the Sevillian capital itself to the town of Sanlúcar de Barrameda, located at its mouth. In this work we will analyze the importance and variety of the Maritime Cultural Heritage that, between the XV and XIX centuries, has been formed on both banks of the mouth associated with American shipping and commerce. An intense commercial activity in which Sanlúcar de Barrameda is configured as a supply port for the Spanish fleets of departure and for the ships that made the turning, before going up the river to Seville.
