Nuevas aportaciones sobre el órgano de la iglesia parroquial de Santa Bárbara de la ciudad de Écija (Sevilla)

Abstract

Español: Écija es una de las pocas ciudades de la provincia de Sevilla que conserva un total de doce órganos, distribuidos entre parroquias y conventos, instrumentos que atestiguan la importancia que tuvo la música en las funciones litúrgicas. Con este artículo queremos dar a conocer la historia y evolución del órgano de la Iglesia parroquial de Santa Bárbara, desvelando los maestros organeros que intervinieron directa o indirectamente en su construcción, reparos y sucesivas afinaciones, incluyendo maestros carpinteros locales que se dedicaban a los reparos menores. De entre los primeros cabe destacar Diego de Paniagua, Pedro Luis de Paniagua, José de Aranda y Chavarría, Juan de Chavarría Marrugaren, Francisco de Molina y Juan Recio, así como Antonio González Cañero, Maestro tallista que realizó la caja del instrumento. Inglés: Écija is one of the few cities in the county of Seville that keeps up to twelve organs, distributed between parish churches and convents which show the importance that music had in liturgical functions. With this article we aim to let to know the history and evolution of the organ of parish church of Santa Bárbara, revealing the masters who took part direct or indirectly in its construction, repairing and the succesives tunnings. That includes local master carpenters who were encharged of minor repairs. Between those, we would like to stand out Diego de Paniagua, Pedro Luís de Paniagua, José de Aranda y Chavarría, Juan de Chavarría Marrugaren, Francisco de Molina y Juan Recio as well as Antonio González Cañero master sculptor who made the box the instrument.
