El proceso ferroviario en Andalucía : en el espacio leemos el patrimonio

Español: Y podíamos advertir que aquellos pasos difíciles podían salvarse mucho más fácilmente en tren. Se trata de una forma de avanzar un tanto agitada que obliga a andar a trompicones. Pero desde el tren se podían contemplar unas hermosas vistas del Guadalquivir, que allí es sumamente sinuoso y se dobla sobre sí mismo hasta una docena de veces entre la confluencia con el Guadalbullón al este y Andújar al oeste. GWYNNE (2006), p. 150.Un paisaje ferroviario sería, en cierto modo, esas articulaciones de imágenes y sensaciones de las que habla Gwynne en el texto que sirve de introducción para esta comunicación. El tren «agita-do» que entra en la ciudad, que recoge los paisajes rurales y urbanos y que nos deja contemplar «hermosas vistas». Esta mirada linear atenta nos acerca a un pasado aún reciente, que nos evoca a un viajero y a un paisaje que todavía no se le ha prestado la debida atención. Sigue siendo difícil pensar y entender las transformaciones del territorio, y en el caso del proceso ferroviario, esta complejidad es aún mayor debido a sus dimensiones materiales e inmateriales, a su gran escala, así como a su proximidad a territorios urbanos que se modernizan y se transforman rápidamente y constantemente. En el caso de Andalucía, el proceso ferroviario contribuyó a la configuración de distintos paisajes específicos con el surgimiento de nuevos poblados y actividades económicas, el desarrollo urba-no y la implantación de elementos que forman la propia infraestructura ferroviaria: estaciones, muelles, talleres, apartaderos, almacenes, casa guardias, retretes, viviendas obreras, etc. Teniendo en cuenta la dimensión de estos paisajes y su imbricación en el paisaje urbano, hace falta re-flexionar acerca de la importancia del ferrocarril en el desarrollo de estos territorios, en la medida que las huellas han generado no solamente nuevos paisajes, nuevas experiencias y memorias, sino también cambios en la cultura, en la sociedad y en la economía. El ferrocarril pasó a ser responsable por nuevas formas de mirar, mirar de dentro hacia fuera desde la ventana y de fuera hacia dentro desde el andén. La presente comunicación pretende ha-cer reflexiones acerca de nuevos análisis e interpretaciones del proceso ferroviario de Andalucía por medio de la tecnología del Sistema de Información Geográfica (SIG). Se trata de encontrar una visión integradora, explicando y visualizando el territorio en el espacio y en el tiempo. Un acercamiento a las nuevas organizaciones territoriales que contemplan la memoria del proceso del transporte ferroviario andaluz, de un patrimonio conector de territorios, pero a la vez de personas. El proceso ferroviario como transformador del territorio pero a la vez transformado, que forma parte de la cultura del territorio, organizándolo y articulándolo. It is the articulation of many feelings that the viewer creates and how they are interpreted for him. In that way, there are countless interpretations and landscapes.A railroad landscape would be, in some way, these articulations of images that Paul Gwynne speaks in the text that serves as an introduction for this communication. The train “jumpy” crossing the city, cross the rural and urban landscapes and bring us the rural and urban landscapes and let us see “beautiful view”. This linear watchful eyes bring us closer to a still recent past, remembering the look of a traveler and a landscape that has not yet received due attention. It remains difficult to think and understand the transformations of the territory, and in the case of the railway process, this complexity is even bigger because of its tangible and intangible dimensions, its large scale, and once they are inserted in urban areas that are modernized and transformed quickly and constantly.In the case of Andalusia, the railroad process contribute to the configuration of a diverse and specific landscapes with the emergence of new towns and economic activities, urban development, and imple-mentation of elements that form the railroad infrastructure itself, stations, docks, workshops, sidings, warehouses, guard house, workers’ housing, etc. Given the scale of these landscapes and being part of the urban landscape, we need to reflect about the importance of the railroad in the development of these territories, once its traces have generated not only new landscapes, experiences and memories, but also, have caused changes in the culture, society and economy.The railroad became responsible for new ways of looking, looking from inside out from the window and outside inward from the platform. This article aims to make new reflections on the process analysis and interpretation of Railway Heritage in Andalusia using GIS technology - Geographic Information Sys-tem. It’s about finding an integrative view, explaining and visualizing the territory in space and in time. New approaches to regional organizations that provide a view of the railway memory in Andalusia, a heritage that connect territories, but also, people.
